Calculation of waste heat potential - Refrigeration plant
Your data on the waste heat source
Cooling capacity of cooling unit - nominal power (kW):
The cooling capacity of the refrigeration system can be read off the system type plate or the data sheets.
Current cooling water outlet temperature of the cooling unit (° C):
A thermometer at the condenser indicates the cooling water outlet temperature (usual temperature: 40 -45 ° C). Alternatively, a measurement with a non-contact thermometer should be carried out.

Partial load operation of a system reduces the amount of waste heat. Estimate what percentage of your system is operating at partial load instead of nominal load.
For power generation, the waste heat source must be operated at rated load throughout the year.
